Norðurflug has landed just north of the recent eruption in Vatnajökull and the pictures and video can be seen on the website visir.is. Our helicopter landed north of the eruption site and what was visible was a huge dark blue cloud of immense magnitude. The strong wind holds the eruption material high and above us creating a scene from pictures like Star Wars. Norðurflug wil keep a close eye on the development and will provide spectacular and once in a lifetime trip once the situation clears a bit.
